Respected US author Morgan Jerkins will deliver this year’s Erika Mann Lecture in the Great Aula at LMU Munich.
The Erika Mann Lecture Series puts the spotlight on authors whose work makes important contributions to societal issues and who, like Erika Mann, evidence an unflinching perspicuity that it is profoundly inspiring. In her capacity as an author, journalist, cabaret artist, racing driver, globetrotter and fashion icon, Erika Mann was way ahead of her time. Courageous, creative, progressive and taking an unequivocal stand, she and her works remain a source of inspiration to this day.
Actor Wiebke Puls will read selected passages from Erika Mann’s works and provide an insight into the author’s oeuvre.
